A lot of the conversations about diversifying the product lines started months before the grand opening, Lightfoot says. Blish-Mize personnel were involved from the moment the plans for the new building were finalized, looking into how the salesfloor could be laid out and how to use the abundance of new space. “(Regional sales manager) Janet Elias and all of the Blish-Mize team were just as excited as I was that we were going to have this new store,” Lightfoot says. “Blish-Mize had a team here twice, measuring the space, assembling shelves and merchandising fixtures and offering their expertise on how we could grow.
