Two-factor authentication is another way Griffin recommends to keep your business secure. While there isn’t a single solution to stopping cybercrime, Griffin says email scams remain one of the most overlooked vulnerabilities for retailers. “They may see an email that says it’s coming from Blish-Mize, but it may not be coming from a vendor,” Griffin says. “It might be a phishing attempt to try to get you to click on something.” Griffin says Blish-Mize uses a cybersecurity partner and around-the-clock monitoring to detect unauthorized access attempts. “They are monitoring our systems and servers 24/7,” he says. “If somebody tries to get in, they lock it down.”
