There will be options for email notifications based on driver locations, GPS updates during the driver’s route and a program that can provide estimated times of arrival based on when a load leaves the warehouse. These estimates will be initiated as Schneider becomes familiar with the Blish-Mize process. “The upgrades in delivery notifications should be immensely better from what our customers have seen,” Clark says. “Schneider technology makes it a little more foolproof.” Clark anticipates a seamless transition to the new service, but he says a critical piece of making the new partnership successful is ensuring retailers have provided accurate contact information.
