A High-Quality Choice Finding Success With Hardware House Products

For many Blish-Mize retailers, one brand they know they can count on is Hardware House. Star Lumber & Supply in Wichita, Kansas, sells Hardware House products in multiple categories, including cabinet hardware, locksets and bath accessories, says Tom Monckton, the company’s purchasing manager. He says the locksets are a good quality brand and available at a lower price point, which many of his customers appreciate. Star Lumber & Supply’s bath accessories selection includes towel bars and toilet paper holders, things any consumer needs in their home. “These do very well for us,” says Monckton. “In fact, for those types of products, we sell Hardware House almost exclusively.” About a year ago, Hardware House released a new selection of vanities and vanity tops, and Star Lumber & Supply was quick to offer those new products in their stores. Mike Wilson, store director of Hacienda Home Center in Las Vegas, New Mexico, says his customers appreciate that Hardware House products provide a good value for their price point. His store’s product selection includes lights, vanities and faucets from Hardware House, all of which he says are popular products. “These products all sell well in our store,” he says. “The pricing is a big draw—it’s really good for the quality of the product. It’s just a solid product line with a great fill rate. “Our customers are very pleased with the Hardware House products they purchase,” he says.

Customers at Builders Supply in Kermit, Texas, are happy with their Hardware House purchases as well. The store offers a selection of Hardware House products that includes light fixtures, ceiling fans, and bath and kitchen faucets. “These products do well for us, especially the faucets,” says Denise Milligan, store manager and purchaser for Builders Supply. “We’ve had them for a few years now,” she says. “I like Hardware House products because they’re comparable to higher-end products, and a lot of our customers agree.”
